Most people get on better with angiotensin II antagonists than most other drugs used for similar purposes. These drugs act in a similar way to ACE inhibitors (see page 34), but do not cause the persistent dry cough that ACE inhibitors can sometimes cause. So they are a useful alternative to ACE inhibitors.
